Communication
Significant communication requires attention to detail.
You have an idea, some information, or a message that you want
to get across to your audience as effectively as you can.
Muddled text can easily hide an exciting idea; inappropriate
layout and graphics can quickly sabotage an important message.
Regardless of content, your success
in communicating your ideas depends on:
 |
Clear Content
|
| |
Good communication begins with clarity of thought;
continued refinement of expression completes it.
Know what you're trying to say, and your audience will too.
|
 |
Precise Language
|
| |
Convey your ideas with words carefully chosen
and coherently combined, in a voice and style that
your audience will understand and enjoy. Precise
diction and crisp presentation create a lasting impression.
|
 |
Appropriate Visual Design
|
| |
Support your message with a visual design that
enhances it. Good layout, suitable typefaces,
and sympathetic graphics are visual clues that
create expectations in your reader. Appropriate
visual design reinforces your communication.

Process
I collaborate with my clients. I help you realize the potential
of your project. I assist you in organizing and presenting your
ideas and information. I advise you in creating your image
and communicating effectively. I don't dictate.
I develop new works in an incremental, open process. Perhaps
I've just reached the age of amicable coexistance with my ego,
but I've found that my design & communication work is always
enhanced through critical evaluation and feedback with my
clients.
I develop ideas and show you possibilities. In each stage of
the work, from initial concepts and preliminary designs, through
content organizing and editing, to final editing and production,
I share my thoughts and point out paths that we might follow.
I will certainly tell you what I believe to be our strongest
options or most fruitful directions. However, the final
decisions are necessarily yours in creating a product that
represents you well.
Goal
When we finish a project, I want you to feel that
it was worth it.
